Revising translations: bridge between translation and teaching

Abstract

Translating a text implies the transition from one linguistic system to another by means of translation techniques that may vary according to the type of text to be translated. This passage can not always occur without the mediation of a reviewer whose work, as well as the work of the author and the translator, should be in line with the principles of textuality and grammaticality. The reviewer places himself between two universes: that of the author and that of the translator. When placing yourself or finding yourself in this privileged locus, it is important that you have knowledge not only of the target language, but also of the starting language since such knowledge will allow you to develop an efficient and effective work.
