The typology of psychological portraits of parents who have problematic children

The article presents the results of empirical research and factor analysis to identify the factor structure of personality characteristics of the parents of problematic children who are under the influence of prolonged psychopathological situation. The minimization of the output mass of empirical data to the level of more compact and convenient representation is analyzed in order to effectively carry out further mathematical and statistical calculations, and based on them - to receive reliable psychological generalizations. It is noted that the results of factor analysis allowed to allocate a factor model of personality characteristics of parents having problematic children. The structure of this factor model included ten integral personal factors: "authoritarian educational disposition"; "Indulging educational disposition"; "Constructive educational patronage"; "Psychasthenic personality disposition"; "Ambivalent personal disposition"; "Condescendingly indifferent personal disposition"; "The dominantly aggressive personality disposition"; "Extroverted personality disposition"; "Introverted-pedantic personal disposition"; "Passive-protective personal disposition". The assumption is made that the informative character and specific features of the revealed integral personal factors of the researchers will be personal predictors of the effectiveness of their psychological rehabilitation. It is concluded that the obtained results will be the basis for finding the optimal model of psychological support for the parents of problematic children, as well as the entire family system, which includes the child with developmental problems. It is stated that a more thorough examination of this hypothesis will be made at subsequent stages of the study.
