Neurophysiological characteristics of psychosomatic pathology in children and adolescents

Abstract

The article deals with the neurophysiological aspects of the development of psychosomatic states in normal and in pathology in children and adolescents. Provided practical approaches to early and timely diagnosis of psychosomatic pathology using the analysis of spectrographs and maps of spectral power of the main rhythms of the electroencephalograms. These spectral topographic EEG mathematical analysis indicators can, with high reliability and stable reproducibility investigate certain groups of individuals to identify signs of EEE-risk of CAP.  Spectral-topographic analysis of EEG can be used for objective control of rehabilitation measures, as well as further forecast in the post-rehabilitation period.  In healthy children and adolescents defined monomodal dominant power spectrum of the alpha rhythm, topical normal distribution (the maximum spectral density of alpha rhythm in the occipital cover the brain).  For children and adolescents with psychosomatic disorders characteristic bimodal dominant power spectrum of alpha rhythm with normal or partially lost topical distribution (the maximum spectral density of alpha rhythm in the occipital-parietal and central cover the brain).  For children and adolescents with PSP, there is a (non-dominant) disorganized spectrum of alpha-rhythm power with distorted zonal distribution (maximum alpha-rhythm spectral density in the central regions of the cerebral cortex). Thus, the use of neurophysiological rapid-diagnostics in the screening control of the functional state of the brain, using the spectral and topographic analysis of EEG, it is expedient and effective for the specified contingent.
