Psychological support for the development of psychological competence of employees of the State Criminal-Executive Service of Ukraine

Abstract

The article reveals the problem of psychological support of the development of psychological competence of employees of organs and penitentiary institutions. The peculiarities of professional activity and its influence on employees of the State Criminal-Executive Service of Ukraine are considered. The main directions of psychological support of professional activity of the employees of the State Criminal-Executive Service of Ukraine are revealed: adaptation of young workers to the conditions of service; psychoprophylaxis of professional deformation in employees; optimization of socio-psychological climate in a team of workers; neutralization of negative mental states among workers; prevention of suicidal behavior. It is proposed to add to this list a direction such as the formation of psychological competence of employees of bodies and penitentiary institutions.The stages of psychological support for the formation of the psychological competence of the employees of the organs and penal institutions: the training in the educational institutions belonging to the sphere of the State Criminal Execution Service of Ukraine; adaptation of a young worker to the conditions of penitentiary organs and institutions (up to 1 year); service of young workers (from 1 to 3 years); passing service by experienced employees (more than 3 years); preparation for dismissal of employees of penitentiary organs and institutions.It is noted that psychological support of the development of psychological competence of the employees of the State Criminal-Enforcement Service of Ukraine provides:increasing the level of motivation of employees, as well as the desire for self-improvement in professional activities; activating creative potential of employees; positive psycho-emotional condition of employees; development of professional skills and qualities of employees; development of ability to self-control workers; positive impact on employee behavior.
