Professional competence of the polygraph examiner as an object of psychological discourse

Abstract

The article presents the generalization of the results of theoretical analysis of the problem of professional competence of the individual.  The expert activity of the polygraph examiner is considered as a kind of professional activity, which is mediated by the system of mutual influences of the subject and the polygraph examiner.  The necessity of conducting complex psychological research of the professional competence of the polygraph examiner is determined.  Professional competence is considered as an integral of interdependent qualities of the person, given in accordance with a range of phenomena, subjects or processes of professional activity, and necessary to perform qualitatively and productively activities concerning them;  competence is the possession of a person with a certain competence, including his personal attitude to her and the subject of professional activity.  Due to the fact that professional competence as a personal integral is mediated by activity and has a continual nature, it is appropriate to consider it in the procedural aspect.
