Abstract

The article shows the current state of postgraduate pedagogical development in Ukraine. The most important pedagogical and psychological challenges determining this process are revealed. The major trends and prospects of modernization this educational branch are outlined in the context of the creation the New Ukrainian School. The social significance of postgraduate pedagogical education in the conditions of creation of the New Ukrainian School is substantiated, the social mission of PPE institutions as innovative centers of training, retraining and advanced training of teachers and leaders of the New Ukrainian School is revealed. The uniqueness of the experience of professional development of specialists of the educational branch based on andragogical principles accumulated by the pedagogical personnel of institutions of postgraduate pedagogical education is emphasized.
