Secondary school principals' professional tolerance: essence, distinctive features and structure

Abstract

The article examines the nature and distinctive features of secondary school principals' professional tolerance. The author analyzes the structure and components of professional tolerance which include the managerial tolerance (tolerance to uncertainty in managerial work, tolerance to changes in managerial work, professional stress tolerance), tolerance to interact with the subjects of the educational process (ethnic tolerance, social tolerance, communicative tolerance, acceptance of others, the management empathy, tolerant leadership style, behavioral flexibility in different management situations, and conflict tolerance), self-tolerance (self-acceptance, adequate self-esteem, assertiveness, reflexivity, and self-control).
